stanley bostitch n80sb-1 air leaking from triggerassembly
Can someone tell where I should go looking for on the my nailer as to why it is leaking air around the trigger. I know I used to much air pressure. It won't shoot out the nails. This nailer is not used alot and this is the first time it broke. So I'm hoping someone can tell me the first place to look. I have the part list to it. Thanks If the gun is very old, the plastic parts that surround the trigger piston may have gotten brittle and cracked, and if so you will just need a replacement trigger kit. They are super easy to install. If you are getting a steady stream of air coming out the trigger I'd be willing to bet that a trigger kit is what you need. If you are unsure, you could always take it apart to inspect it. The trigger has to be removed first, then I believe the kit has a retaining pin that holds it in place. You might find that the plastic body is fine and that you just need to replace one of the o-rings. Google your model number and trigger kit and shop around for the best price shipping. In my area, I'm pretty sure the replacement part is a stock item at Menards. Any tool repair store would have it too. Thanks for responding so fast. When I get the time, I will look at the trigger assembly.
