Apply for a Costco membership in person or online.
Costco is a membership warehouse club. Members pay an annual fee to have the opportunity to shop at discounted rates, primarily in bulk quantities.
Membership is offered on three levels. The Gold Star level costs $50 per year and is for those who do not qualify for business status. The Business level also costs $50 annually, and comes with resale rights. The Executive level is available to both Gold Star and Business members for an upgrade fee. Members at this level earn an annual 2 percent reward on most purchases.

Apply Online
1. Go to the Costco website or use the link in the references section below.
2. Click on Membership at the top of the page.
3. Click on the Join the Club banner or box.
4. Select the membership level you desire. Costco will add the membership fee to your shopping cart and you can start shopping right away. Your card will arrive in the mail within 7-10 days.
Apply in Person
5. Go to your nearest Costco location to obtain an application or call 800-774-2678 to have one faxed to you.
6. Fill out the application and return it with your membership fee to the nearest Costco store. The application and fee can also be mailed to Costco membership processing.
7. Receive your membership card. Cards are issued immediately if applied for in person. If you mail your application, your card will arrive within 7-10 days.
