Link to Your Facebook Fan Page on Your Personal Profile
Facebook is a popular social networking platform. Hundreds of millions of users log in to Facebook every day. One of the benefits of having a profile on Facebook is that you can create a fan page for your business, website or special interest. Once you have created a fan page, it is important to link to it wherever possible so that others can find it easily. One of the best places to link to your fan page is at the top of your personal Facebook profile.
Instructions
1. Go to your Facebook profile. Log in to your Facebook account, and click the "Profile" link located in the upper right corner of the page.
2. Look in the upper right corner of your Facebook profile for a button that reads "Edit Profile." Click the button.
3. Click the "Education and Work" link; this is typically accompanied by an icon that pictures a briefcase.
4. Examine the top of the Education and Work page to locate the text box that reads "Employer." Click inside the text box to place your cursor in it, then type the exact name of your fan page. Press "Enter" to open the employment details for this employer.
5. Look at the top of the Employment Details page to see the name of the employer. You should see your Facebook fan page listed, along with the icon for your fan page. If the fan page is not showing, delete the employer and try again, making sure you have not mistyped the name.
6. Fill in the rest of the employment details. You can enter your position/job title, along with the city the company is located in. If you work there with others in your Facebook friends list, type their names in the "With" section. You can also enter a description about your position and enter any dates that relate to the start or finish of your employment. Fill out any information that you care to add to the listing.
7. Click the "View My Profile" button at the top of the page. Your work will be saved and you will be taken back to your Facebook profile. Look at the top of your profile, above your photos. You will see both your job title and employer listed. The name of the employer will be a link that directs to your Facebook fan page. Click the link to test it out.
