Retrieve A Briefcase In Windows Vista Home Basic

A Windows Vista briefcase can be retrieved.

The Windows briefcase feature keeps files updated by automatically syncing copies of individual files between computers. Briefcases keep track of whether a file is linked to the original file on a main computer or whether it is stored on another PC. Briefcases are a great way of keeping track of files as they change versions. However, sometimes a briefcase might get deleted accidentally or you decide you didn't want to delete a briefcase after all. It's possible to retrieve a deleted briefcase.

Instructions

1. Turn on your computer and log in as the administrator.

2. Open the "Recycle Bin" by double-clicking the recycle bin icon on the desktop. The icon is shaped like a trash can.

3. Locate the briefcase that was deleted. Click the file name.

4. Click "Restore This Item" on the toolbar. The file is replaced to its original location. All of the contents of the briefcase should be intact.
