Fix A Briefcase Combination Lock

Many briefcases feature a simple three-digit or four-digit combination lock that can be used to secure the briefcase's contents. These locks are invaluable for transporting confidential documents and other sensitive materials. Occasionally, these locks can become a hassle when the combination is lost. However, nearly every briefcase combination lock features a quick reset combination to allow users to set a new lock code or replace a forgotten code. Resetting your code should take no more than 15 minutes.

Instructions

Fixing a Forgotten Luggage Lock

1. Rotate each lock dial until it displays the digit "0."

2. Press and hold the lock release button.

3. Turn each dial to the desired digit to set a new code. Be sure to hold down the lock release button completely as you set the new code. Once you have turned each dial to the desired numeral, release the lock button to set the new code. You can now unlock the luggage using the newly created code.
