Reset A Briggs & Riley Lock

A luggage lock is placed through the two zippers on a suitcase to ensure the suitcase can't be unzipped or opened.

Briggs & Riley manufactures luggage and luggage accessories, including a resettable, TSA-approved luggage lock. The lock can be used to secure two zippers together, so the luggage can't be opened. It features a three-digit combination that the owner can change or reset as desired. In order to reset the lock, you need the current combination. If you do not have that, you will be unable to reset the current combination.

Instructions

1. Roll the three combination wheels to the current combination. If the Briggs & Riley lock is brand new, the preset combination is 0-0-0.

2. Press down on the rubber button on the left side of the lock to open the lock. Pull the cable tip from the lock unit.

3. Push the bottom button upward, or in the direction of the arrow, using a pen. Hold the button in place with the pen.

4. Turn the combination wheels to the desired combination. Ensure that all of the wheels are aligned front and center on the lock.

5. Release the bottom button. The combination for the lock has now been reset.
