Use The File Manager In Yahoo Sitebuilder

As the technology behind intuitive and user-friendly website design programs becomes increasingly refined, more and more features are being unveiled within these programs. Newer features allow users to manipulate file structures and folder settings, and even reorganize the entire website by simply dragging and dropping files to the desired location within the website.

Instructions

1. You will need to left-click on the application icon in order to run the program. If you do not have a copy of this program you can get a free copy by using the resources links below.

2. To open a website that you wish the file manager feature in, you will need to left-click on the “File” tab on the command bar. Scroll to “Open Site” and left-click; browse to the desired file and click “Open.”

3. The file manager is a nifty feature that allows you to drag-and-drop files between folders within your website. To access this feature, scroll to the “Tools” tab on the command bar and select “File Manager.” A file manager properties box will open. The box is split into two sections; the main website folders in the left section, and the files inside of the main website folders in the right section. To move files between folders, left-click on the desired folder. An icon display of the folder contents will appear in the right section. You can easily move files around by dragging and dropping them from the right section, where they are displayed, to the left section, where the folders are displayed.

4. Save your edited website by left-clicking on the “File” tab on the command bar and selecting “Save.”
