Gift Wrap A Suitcase

Get creative when it comes to gift wrapping bulky presents.

Many may argue that one of the best parts about getting a present is unwrapping the gift wrap to reveal what's underneath. So what do you do with a cumbersome object, such as luggage, that seems nearly impossible to cover in a somewhat elegant fashion? Aside from wrapping an entire roll hastily around a suitcase, you may want to employ other options that make your gift more presentable and still allow the recipient to unwrap the gift.

Instructions

1. Place the luggage into a large box. You can either place all the luggage pieces into an extra large box (such as a refrigerator box, TV box or similar), or place each piece in an individual box. Wrap as you would any other box, using as much gift wrap as necessary to cover the entire box.

2. Purchase a piece of fabric large enough to cover the luggage (it's best to wrap individually if using cloth). Lay the fabric out on the ground, center the luggage on top and then pull up and around the luggage. Tie a bow on top with a piece of ribbon.

3. Consider leaving the luggage unwrapped, but place a giant bow on top of each piece. This allows the gift to feel like more of a present, but saves you time and energy.

4. Wrap a smaller version of the suitcases. For example, find a toy-sized luggage set or print out a picture and wrap the tiny version while stowing away the actual luggage. After the recipient unwraps the small version, reveal the actual gift or include clues leading to where you hid the actual present.
