Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" was the first game of its time to implement a level-based ranking system for its multiplayer matches. Players are able to rank up via experience points ("XP"), giving them access to unique weapons and perks. Accessing Level 55, the maximum rank possible, can be done using a number of different methods to achieve experience points.
Instructions
1. Kill enemy players. Experience points are awarded for every kill you make, and are the easiest way to level up. Locate other players on the game map and kill them with any weapon of your choice to gain XP.
2. Place in the top three rankings in a multiplayer game. Make enough kills in a multiplayer match to be in the top three player spots, in order to achieve bonus XP at the end of a round.
3. Complete in-game challenges. Challenges are cumulative and will be tracked from game to game. These include weapon-specific challenges, player-specific challenges and skill- or luck-based challenges. Completing them will give you a large XP gain.
4. Complete objectives. Some game types in "Call of Duty 4," such as "Headquarters," require you to attack or defend specific points on the map. Achieving these objectives will provide you with bonus XP.
