Change The Combination On A Gun Case

Changing a gun safe combination is easy if you follow the right steps.

Lots of homeowners keep gun cases to protect their firearms and to keep them out of the wrong hands. On digital lock safes, where the owner has to enter a combination, it's fairly easy to change the combination. All you need is about three minutes and the existing code. The factory code, which is usually something simple such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, can be looked up in the manual if you haven't made your own code yet. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Punch in the existing numerical combination and open the safe door. You should always have the door open when you change the combination. Make sure that the locking bolts are extended before you proceed.

2. Enter six zeros into the combination. This will put you into the programming mode, which should be signaled by two beeps.

3. Enter the existing combination. This will be followed by a double beep of affirmation that the safe is ready for proceeding. Then enter in your new six-digit combination. This also will be followed by two beeps. Enter your new combination a second time; this also will be followed by two beeps.

4. Wait roughly 10 seconds or so. Put in your new combination and turn the handle. If you put the combination in correctly, then the handle will turn and your new combination is officially in the system.
