Homemade Leather Cleaning

Vinegar and olive oil will keep your leather goods clean and conditioned.


Leather is one of the most versatile, common and expensive fabrics used in a household. Whether your leather article is furniture, a pair of shoes or a handbag, it is important to preserve its condition and clean the leather regularly. Using commercial cleaning products can become very expensive, so to save money, use do-it-yourself homemade leather-care recipes. Instructions


1. Wipe your leather item clean, using a microfiber or soft cloth.


2. Mix 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup olive oil, and pour the solution into a spray bottle.


3. Shake your spray bottle well, and spray the solution directly onto your leather item. Wipe your item with a cloth to remove the solution.


4. Lather Castile soap or moisturizing hand soap on your leather item, and buff with a cloth.
