Unlock American Tourister Luggage
American Tourister luggage has been around since the 1930's and is now owned by the Samsonite Corporation. It is probably best known for the gorilla used in its advertising campaign, which ran for fifteen years. American Tourister luggage comes either with a small key-triggered padlock, or a rolling combination lock. These small locks help prevent petty theft or unwanted intrusions. Unlocking the devices is a straightforward process.
Instructions
Padlock Luggage
1. Insert the key that accompanies the luggage into the padlock key-hole.
2. Turn the key to the left to disengage the lock mechanism, freeing the U-hook to come free.
3. Turn the U-hook until the zippers can slide off the lock. Unzip the luggage.
Combination Locks
4. Turn the numbered barrels on the combination lock starting from the left to the right.
5. Turn the farthest left number to the number that corresponds to the combination code that came with the luggage.
6. Set the other numbers to the combination code, going sequentially from left to right.
7. Listen for the lock to disengage when the combination is completed. Unzip the luggage.
