Your Samsonite briefcase comes equipped with a combination lock, designed to keep your belongings and personal information private. However that lock can be a frustrating hindrance if you forget or lose your combination.
Default and Likely Combinations
The default combination on a 3-digit Samsonite lock is 000. If this does not work, try some likely numbers that have significance to the briefcase's owner such as birth dates, anniversaries or graduation dates. If selecting random numbers, keep in mind there are 1,000 possible combinations on a 3-digit lock.
Pick the Lock
The lock on your briefcase should be simple enough to pick using a butter knife or a Swiss army knife. This can be done without damaging the lock so that the case can be opened and used if you are willing to use a knife to pick the lock each time you want to open it.
Replace the Lock
