Carry A Laptop

Carry a laptop in a laptop bag.

Because laptops are portable, the task of choosing one often also includes selecting a bag to transport it. Carry a laptop to and from work or the Internet cafe with a stylish and comfortable laptop case or bag. Make sure you choose a bag that fits your laptop with enough padding to protect it from bumps and jostles.

Instructions

1. Measure the size of your laptop in inches to enable you to select a laptop bag that will fit your laptop adequately.

2. Decide what style laptop bag you prefer. Some people may desire a backpack style that enables hands-free carrying. Other people may choose the businesslike style of an attache case. A messenger bag style that has both handles and a shoulder strap fits the needs and desires of many people as well.

3. Choose a bag that is large enough to accommodate your laptop. Look on the laptop tag or label to find the dimensions of the laptops that will fit in the bag.

4. Select a laptop bag with adequate padding to protect your laptop as you carry it. Some laptop bags are "sleeves" with little padding or protection, and other laptop bags have ample padding to keep a laptop safe from damage while you carry it.

5. Place your laptop into the bag, sliding it into the compartment completely. Zip the top of the compartment closed or fasten any Velcro fasteners to keep your laptop from moving around in the bag.

6. Stash your power cords, mouse, mouse pad and any other accessories you need into other compartments of the laptop bag. Close the bag completely to keep everything contained safely.
