Styles
From small wallets to large shopping totes, Goyard bags come in a wide range of styles and shapes. The most common styles of Goyard bags are the Comores (a large tote with handles), the Ambassade (soft-frame briefcase), the Cyphre (rigid-frame briefcase), the Urbain (a messenger bag), the Jersey (medium size, rectangular with a sturdy frame), the St. Louis (a medium to large tote, reversible, available in a variety of colors and accompanied by a matching wallet) and the Jeanne (small or medium, crescent shaped). Goyard occasionally produces special edition products for special occasions, such as the company's anniversary.
Materials
Typically Goyard bags are made of a blend of cotton, linen and hemp, which is then coated with a gum-arabic paste. The resulting bag is durable, easy to carry and extremely waterproof. Bags typically feature the distinctive interlocking chevron pattern that has become the company's trademark. The pattern is painted onto each bag, resulting in a slightly bumpy texture.
Price
Goyard bags are true hand-crafted luxury products, and they are priced to reflect the care and craftsmanship that goes into each one. As of 2011, a small wallet might start at about $500, while larger bags can easily run several thousands of dollars. Special edition pieces can exceed $5,000. Anything lower than $1,500 for a midsize Goyard bag is extremely suspicious and may indicate that the bag is a forgery.

Currently Goyard bags can be purchased from 12 Goyard boutiques worldwide, located in Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Boston, New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Hong Kong, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and Sao Paulo. Upscale retailers such as Barneys in New York carry a limited selection of items; however, such retailers are few and far between. Goyard does not engage in online retail. Some bags can be purchased from private sellers, but the only guarantee of authenticity comes from purchasing directly from a Goyard retailer.
