Make A Paper Briefcase

Skip the traditional briefcase and make this pretty paper briefcase instead.

A paper briefcase can be an attractive and functional alternative to carrying your notebook or journal. Decorate the briefcase however you wish to create your own one-of-a-kind carrier. This is a great craft to make as a gift for writers and notetakers of any age.

Instructions

1. Place the front flap of the composition book directly on top of a sheet of decorative paper. Trace around the flap. Repeat on back flap.

2. Cut out pieces. Glue pieces onto front and back covers. Smooth the surface and remove any air bubbles. You can also cover the inside covers following the same process.

3. Mark two handle points on front cover. You can place them far apart at each corner or closer together in the middle. Punch holes.

4. Punch holes on the back flap, using the punched holes on the front cover as a stencil.

5. String a ribbon through both holes on the front cover and double knot or tie into a bow. Repeat for back cover.
