Make Leather Cleaner & Polish

Clean and polish leather with olive oil.

When you have leather around the home, whether it be a leather piece of furniture or a leather handbag, you need a cleaning method that simultaneously removes residue and polishes the leather. Moisturizing is important when cleaning, as you don't want to use a harsh cleaner that over-drys the leather, which leads to cracking and other issues. Instead, use an oil-based cleaner that cleans while moisturizing and also polishes the leather. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Mix 1 cup olive oil and 5 drops lemon oil in a dish. Both oils moisturize and the lemon oil has added cleaning qualities that quickly remove residue and buildup.

2. Dip a cleaning rag into the bowl and wring out the rag.

3. Wipe the rag over your entire leather surface, leaving behind a small layer of cleaning solution.

4. Let the excess sit on top of the leather overnight, and wipe down the leather once more with a dry cloth. Rub in small circles while wiping to remove the residue and polish the leather.
