Get Ink Out Of A Briefcase

Keep your briefcase looking professional by removing any ink stains.

A briefcase is a convenient and professional-looking carrying case for the modern business person. A wide range of items can be stored in briefcases, including ink pens. The problem with ink pens, however, is that sometimes they leak or explode. This problem is compounded by the fact that many briefcases have a silk interior lining. However, there is a way that you can remove the ink stain from your briefcase using a simple household ingredient. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Blot the ink stain with paper towels immediately. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to remove the stain. If you don't have paper towels, use napkins instead. Refrain from rubbing the stain, as this will actually cause it to set in deeper.

2. Lay several layers of paper towel beneath the ink stain, if possible.

3. Add a generous amount of either hair spray, or rubbing alcohol, to a paper towel, and then apply the paper towel to the ink stain. Keep the alcohol or hair spray applied to the ink stain for several minutes.

4. Rinse the stain with cold water. Never use hot water to wash away ink stains, as hot water may actually cause the stain to set in deeper.

5. Allow the ink stain to air dry. If the stain is still visible when the water has finished drying, repeat the process until the stain is gone.
