Set Monthly Goals

Set Monthly Goals

Life can get hectic and unmanageable if you don't learn to prioritize your activities. When you set monthly goals, you can make time for yourself, too. By sitting down and thinking a month out ahead of time, you can simplify your life and keep a manageable schedule.

Instructions

1. Think about the activities that you took part in during the previous month. Decide if you planned too much or too little for that month and determine if your blend of activities strikes the balance you need or want.

2. Buy a simple calendar organizer that you can easily fit into your pocketbook or briefcase. This way you can easily schedule work, social and self-engaging activities and be able to visualize the schedule at a quick glance.

3. Decide on how many days you want to dedicate during the month for each category. You may want to block off a few days each month for yourself. Being able to enjoy life and to relax alone or just be with your family is necessary so that you do not get burned out.

4. Choose a certain amount of days that you will use for work events. Do the same for social events and such things.

5. Set monthly goals for things like working on finances. While it is very important to set aside particular days for work, social and self relaxation, it is also wise to set goals for how much money you are to spend each month. Stick to your budget and try to spend less than scheduled.
