Spot A Fake Louis Vuitton

Spot a Fake Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton handbags and luggage have been around since 1854, and there haven't been many changes to the detailed style of the bags. If you want to buy an authentic Louis Vuitton bag, be careful, because there are a lot of fake Louis Vuitton purses on the market. Don't be fooled. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Pay careful attention to the stitching. Louis Vuitton bags are very specific when it comes to stitching. The leather tab that connects the handles of the purse always has the same number of stitches across the top. If your purse does not have the standard five even stitches, it is probably a fake.

2. Notice any inconsistencies with the monogrammed logos. Louis Vuitton is very detailed when it comes to its monogrammed logos. If yours varies in any way from the standard, it is probably a fake.

3. Analyze the date code. All authentic Louis Vuitton bags made since the early 1980s should have a date code, which is two letters followed by four numbers. If your bag has a variation of this formula or none at all, it is probably a fake.

4. Notice if the tag is attached to the bag. Louis Vuitton bags come with tags, but they are never attached to the bag. An attached tag is a clear indication that the purse is a fake.
