Banners and programs will advertise the sponsors.

2. Look for venues within your budget to host the beauty pageant. Larger, more expensive, venues include hotel ballrooms or banquet facilities. Rules will include general guidelines, entrance fees, contestant judging and other pertinent information you feel is relevant to the pageant. In addition, you will need to create categories for the pageant. Older pageant contestants can have formal categories such as formal wear, casual wear, swimsuit and talent; younger contestants may have categories that include best personality or prettiest smile.

4. Talk with local celebrities or fashion experts about volunteering as judges. Pageant goers love to mingle with famous people and they will help draw in the crowd. Along with judging, local celebrities may help increase your sponsorship for the pageant. You will also need volunteers to run the behind-the-scene show such as technical help, taking tickets and assisting contestants back stage.

5. Advertise for several weeks leading up to the event. Create posters to hang at grocery stores, local hangouts, movie theaters, community centers and high schools. In addition, you can place a booth at a local fair and offer a discounted registration fee for contestants when they sign up. Always include the time of the pageant, the date, location, ticket prices, where to purchase tickets, sponsor promotions and become a contestant on all literature. You will also need to create formal tickets to hand out when a ticket is purchased. Include the time, date and a dress code, if required, on the ticket.
