Charge A Kindle 2

Hip book lovers unite with new technology through Amazon.com's Kindle 2. The slim, slick wireless reading device is the online equivalent of a tiny public library -- with the capacity to store more than 1,500 e-books and the ease to access those bindings on a single screen. If you recently purchased a Kindle 2, you are on your way to reading gripping page-turners without ever having to turn a page. First, you must charge this little reading machine.

Instructions

1. Gather the hardware. To charge your Kindle 2 you will need the micro-USB power cord that came in the package you received from Amazon.com. (See Reference 1) If you do not have the micro-USB power cord, you can purchase a replacement online at Amazon.com.

2. Attach the power cord. The micro-USB outlet on the Kindle 2 is located on the bottom of the machine. Insert the micro-USB power cord into the outlet.

3. Next, plug the other end of the cord into a power outlet. Your machine will begin charging immediately. Amazon.com's "Kindle Quick-Start" video also offers this tip: You can read and perform other tasks on your Kindle while it is charging.
