Print On Index Cards From Word

Print your notes on index cards using Word.

Note cards come in handy during study sessions and speeches to refresh your memory about vital information. Sometimes you might be unable to read your own handwriting or properly discern a drawing or graph. Printing index cards from Microsoft Word, the most widely used word processing program, is possible and done with only a few adjustments. Printing your notes on index cards enables you to enjoy quick and legible notes that fit in a briefcase, backpack or pocket.

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft Word.

2. Click on the "File" menu and select "Page Setup." For Word 7 users, select the "Page Layout" tab at the top of the window.

3. Select "Paper." In Word 7, select "Page Size."

4. Adjust the size of your paper to the dimensions of your index cards. Click on "Orientation" to choose the "Landscape" or "Portrait" option. Click on "Save" after making your selection.

5. Type the information you want printed into the Word document and click "Save."

6. Insert the index cards into the printer with the orientation you selected and click "Print."
