Crack A Master Lock Backpack Combination

You can store the Master Lock combination on your online account.

The Master Lock is a convenient number-generated lock that is a common way to protect and lock your backpack and schoolbags. The Master Lock is useful in keeping the wrong people out of your bag, but it can be frustrating if you lose or forget the combination that opens the lock. There are several ways to crack the Master Lock combination for your backpack lock. If you've registered your combination online, you can sign in to retrieve it. Otherwise, you'll have to test out many number combinations to open it, which could be time-consuming.

Instructions

1. Go to the Master Lock Vault website (see "Resources").

2. Enter your user name and click "Continue."

3. Enter your password to enter your account number. Retrieve the combination number that you stored.

4. Turn the dial on the lock to the combination that you retrieved from Master Lock Vault.

5. Try to crack the combination manually if you didn't register your code with Master Lock Vault. Start with the last number of the sequence. Turn the dial on the last number and go through each number, pushing the clasp down for each number. You should hear a click or the clasp should feel a little loose when you've selected the right number in the sequence.

6. Go to the middle number and try each number to hear the click or feel more of a release when the clasp is pushed down. Do the same for the first number in the sequence until you've released the clasp completely.
