Be A Contestant On Deal Or No Deal

Deal or No Deal

How many times have you said, "I could do that!" while watching a television game show like "Deal or No Deal"? Well you really could because there is a simple process when applying to be a contestant on the hit NBC game show. Just like the other game shows you see on TV, they all require specific information when you apply, but the application part is rather simple.

Instructions

1. Make your videotape. You will have to send a five minute VHS videotape in with your application so you should do that first. Before you grab your camera and start filming you need to have the "supporters" that you are going to take on the show with you also. Once everyone is together, just begin by giving your name and where you live, keeping it simple. After that you can begin talking about what you would do with the million dollars if you won "Deal or No Deal."

2. Go online and print an application. You can find an application for"Deal or No Deal" on NBC's website. The application is a .pdf' file so you will need Adobe Reader in order to access it. You can download this for free on Adobe's website.

3. Start filling out your application. It might be hard to dismiss the urge of making your answers sound more "interesting" and "attention-grabbing," but in reality, they just want to know who you are. Real, honest answers will give you a better chance of being accepted, so be sure you are 100 percent honest.

4. Take the photos. You will need to submit recent pictures of you and your supporters. They encourage you to submit one picture "close-up" and another "full-body." This is for both you and your supporters. You can take the pictures any way you like, be it using a digital camera, Polaroid, or any other picture-taking device.

5. Review the tape. Before you submit the videotape you should review it to make sure it's acceptable. Make sure your voice is clearly heard and the picture is clear, as well. The last thing you want is to be rejected because your videotape was unclear, so review and re-do until you have it right. When you get it right make sure you rewind.

6. Label your items. Be sure to apply a label on the videotape with your personal information: name, address and phone number. On the back of each of the photos label the name of the person in the picture and his phone number.

7. Now you can place your videotape, application and pictures into an envelope and mail them off to be reviewed. Make sure the address is legible, (easy to read), and send it to: Deal or No Deal Casting PO Box 1916 Culver City, CA 90232.
