Sync a notebook to a desktop using Windows' built-in Briefcase feature.
Keeping your files in sync between your computers ensures that you always have your most up-to-date version of all your documents at your fingertips. Windows comes with a built-in feature for syncing your files between multiple computers called Briefcase. Just like a physical briefcase, this digital version stays with you so you always have the documents you need with you.
Instructions
1. Insert the USB drive into the notebook.
2. Right-click in Explorer where you want to create your Briefcase and go to "New > Briefcase."
3. Transfer all the files you wish to sync to the desktop into the Briefcase.
4. Remove the USB drive and insert it into the desktop.
5. Right-click on the Briefcase when you insert the USB drive back into the notebook and click "Update All." This will sync all your changes to the Briefcase on your notebook.
