Conquer Final Fantasy X The Easy Way The Ride To Kilika

Picking up our series on making an easy time of Final Fantasy X, we continue with the party's leaving Besaid Island and heading for Kilika.

Instructions

1. Pay attention to the tutorials if you haven't played before or haven't played in a while. They are helpful, if a little awkward.

2. Use special attacks. These will make things much easier than simply pounding away at enemies. Big fiends should be blinded with Dark Attacks, Caster fiends should be Silenced and so on. Just because it's a boss doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.

3. Switch people out if you need to. Everyone has a unique ability that is useful in a fight. Just because you don't like the character doesn't mean it should be neglected.

4. Make sure you rotate everyone when fighting a boss. Anyone left out of a boss fight receives no experience.

5. Help O'aka out! This eccentric merchant may be a bit off his rocker, but he does have some extraordinary merchandise later in the game. Plus, you have a chance to get a discount. Starting from the beginning, you will have a couple of chances to lend him some Gil. It may be a waste in the short run, but eventually he will be an excellent source of cheap goods. Try to

lend him at least 1,000 Gil each time.

6. Head down into the cabin on the S.S. Liki as soon as you can. Botta will be on the left side, puking. Look to the right. You should see a briefcase. Kick it repeatedly for lots of Potions.

7. Attack the fin when you fight Sin on the S.S. Liki. This will end the fight faster. Keep Tidus around to attack the scales when their wings start to flicker.

8. Kill the Sinscales during the S.S. Liki battle if you feel like level grinding. Sin's fin will never attack you and the Sinscales are easy prey. Just keep killing them until you're sick, blast the fin, then see how many levels your characters received. You may be surprised.

9. Use Valefor's Overdrive on Sin's Fin to end the fight quickly.

10. Continually Dark Attack Sinspawn Echuilles. Cheer also helps to sustain you. Don't bother attacking the scales on their sides.
