British Mediterranean Airways, or BMED, was established in 1994 and has been a franchise partner of British Airways since 1997. Based at London Heathrow Airport, BMED services 18 destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, and is the only British airline that flies to Beirut, Damascus and Amman. The airline has a fleet of three Airbus A320-200s and five A321-200s.

Book Travel on British Mediterranean Airways
1. Book travel online through the British Mediterranean Airways Web site (see Resources below). You can also contact them directly by calling (800) AIRWAYS.
2. Locate the Booking tab on the British Mediterranean Airways Web site, where you will also find links to British Airways and the British Airways Executive Club (see Resources below). You will be directed to the appropriate page of the British Airways Web site.
3. Check the Booking page for a comprehensive list of phone numbers for each British Airways program, as well as local numbers for British Airways offices in the countries serviced by British Mediterranean Airways.
4. Choose from variety of ticket levels with prices varying from moderate to expensive depending on your destination and type of ticket selected.

5. Click on the Destinations tab on the British Mediterranean Airways Web site to peruse possible destinations. Here you can find out about visa requirements, currency, languages, best time of year to visit and places of interest.
6. Click on the Schedules tab to find frequency of flights, then choose the link "British Airways on-line schedules" to see detailed scheduling information. All British Mediterranean Airways flights are booked through British Airways.
Be Aware of Baggage Restrictions on British Mediterranean Airways
7. Limit your carry-on luggage to one bag, including handbags, briefcases and laptops. Carry-on luggage must not exceed the U.K. Department of Transport size guidelines of 56 cm. x 45 cm. x 25 cm. (22 inches x 17.7 inches x 9.8 inches).
8. Verify checked luggage weight restrictions. Currently, World Traveler class may check one bag weighing up to 23 kg. (50.7 lbs.) and Club World may check up to 30 kg. (66 lbs.); however, weight restrictions vary by destination and change every year.
9. Items purchased at Duty Free shops after clearing security check-points may be brought on board as long as they fit inside your carry-on luggage.
