If you want to stand next to Howie Mandel on the stage of Deal or No Deal and try to win millions of dollars, you are like a lot of other people. You do have an opportunity to be selected, however. All you have to do is fill out the official application form and send it in, along with a video and photographs of you and your supporters. Make sure the casting manager learns about your personality from your application and video. If she likes it, you could be the next contestant on Deal Or No Deal.
Instructions
1. Verify that you meet elibigility requirements. Some of these include being 18 or older along with being a legal U.S. resident. An unique requirement is that you can not be a contestant if you have run for public office in the past year or intend to in the next year. Neither you nor any household member can have worked for NBC or any other companies involved with Deal or No Deal within the past two years. More requirements can be found on the application at the NBC website.
2. Find a video camera and get together the group of supporters you want with you on Deal Or No Deal. Make a five-minute video to include with your application. Do something unique to make yourself stand out to the casting directors.
3. Make a photocopy of your driver's license and select two photographs of yourself and each of your supporters. It's a good idea to include both head shots and full body shots.
4. Fill out the application (see Resources). It is a total of eleven pages, part of which includes an area to list your supporters and answer questions to determine your eligibility for the show. There are also some unique questions that give you a chance to stand out from other contestants. These include listing three wishes you would make if you were granted them, the weirdest thing about you and where you would go for your dream vacation.
5. Create a self portrait. Once again, do something unique hoping to make yourself stand out from the other applicants. The more memorable you are, the more likely you are to be selected.
