Thank You Gifts For Customers Or Coworkers

Buying the right gift is important.

Watching someone's face light up when you give them a gift is a gift in itself. Getting the gift right can be difficult, but with some time, thought and research, you can get it right most of the time. Thank you gifts need additional consideration as you want the person to know how much he is appreciated and that you have considered your gift carefully.

General Gifts for Customers

Buying promotional gifts can create a win-win situation in that the customer receives an usable item that also advertises your product or service. There are many bulk purchase items that can be given to your customers as thank yous for their business, including mugs, pens, key rings, flash drives, tote bags and coasters.

Special Thank you Gifts for Customers

Give special customers a discount voucher or, depending on your product or service, a free sample or free number of minutes of your time. A more individual gift, such as a spa day or crate of wine, may be appreciated by particularly important clients; consider giving such clients a leather briefcase or expensive pen. Have a calendar printed with the client's name featured differently on each page. Each month, your customer will turn the page to see her name written in sand or scattered in leaves, as well as your logo and message.

Co-Workers in Large Companies

When you work in a large company, it can be difficult to get to know your co-workers well. However, if they have stayed late and helped out with a large order or achieved the highest number of sales in the company, then a special recognition is called for. This gift doesn't have to be expensive but it does need to show that some thought has been put into it. When seeking a thank you gift, having some idea as to the individual's interests can help. While a bonus is always appreciated, some more personal ideas include hard-to-get tickets to a local football game, theater tickets or a meal out for two at an exclusive restaurant.

Co-Workers in Smaller Companies

In smaller companies, you are already acquainted with most of your co-workers so it is easier to choose a gift. For chocolate lovers, a collection of truffles or handmade chocolates would be happily received, while a spa day would go down well with many people. Smaller gifts could be perfume or aftershave; although flowers may seem ordinary, many women appreciate a beautiful bouquet. For a co-worker interested in technology, the latest gadget would not go amiss.
