Sync Databases

Sync your databases over your network.

A database is a file, organized much like a spreadsheet, that keeps information stored and neatly organized in rows and columns so that programs can quickly use the information to make calculations or return information. Keeping databases in sync is essential for anyone who relies on up-to-the-minute accuracy, and this can be done without installing any additional software using Microsoft Briefcase.

Instructions

1. Right-click in any folder on your computer and click "New," then "Briefcase."

2. Transfer the databases over to the new briefcase. Click and drag your cursor over the databases you wish to select, and then right-click on one of them and select "Copy." Right-click in the briefcase and select "Paste."

3. Open "My Network" from the desktop. Double-click on the other computer you wish to sync the databases to.

4. Right-click the briefcase and click "Copy." Right-click in Windows Explorer on the other computer and click "Paste."

5. Right-click on the briefcase when you are done editing your databases and select "Update All."
