Make A Simple Gun Case

Several handguns, ammo and spare magazines can fit into a briefcase.

Having a case to carry several guns comes in handy when transporting them from place to place. A simple do-it-yourself gun case is easy to build and light on the budget. It also has the advantage of not looking like a gun case, which allows you to carry the guns into places that otherwise might cause a disturbance among the pubic.

Easy to access, yet secured with a lock, a homemade attach or brief case converted into a gun case is ideal.

Instructions

1. Cut the foam to fit the inside bottom of the briefcase.

2. Arrange the firearms, magazines, and other peripherals in the case on top of the foam.

3. Mark snuggly around the firearms and other material, and remove them.

4. Cut the outlines out completely from the foam, staying to the inside of the tracing.

5. Spray the bottom of the briefcase with adhesive and place the larger piece of foam back into it. Leave the sides unsprayed. Let dry.

6. Cut the removed pieces of foam from right to left so that they are only half as tall as they were. Spray adhesive in the cavities of foam in the case and insert the bottom half of the pieces back into the holes they came from. Let dry.

7. Test the size of the custom holes by placing the firearms and other material back into the matching holes. If necessary, trim the foam to make a snug fit.

8. Lay the satin liner across the foam and press down to fit inside the cavities. Trim enough from the edges so that it fits easily down between the foam and the edge of the case.

9. Pull up the liner, spray the foam with adhesive, and carefully lay it back down and press into the cavities and edges again. Let dry.

10. Repeat the process if desired for the top half of the case. Make sure the material on top is arranged so that it does not touch the material on bottom when the case is closed.
