Christian Cross Crafts

Make cross crafts to represent your spirituality.

Christian cross crafts are crafts that can be done for Vacation Bible School, Sunday school or used as gifts to give others in the community. Crosses can be added to many different craft projects for decorative purposes around your home or shown to the public through things you wear. Christian cross crafts can keep both men and women of all ages entertained with the amount of crafts available.

Plastic Canvas Cross Key Chain

Key chain crosses can be made from many different materials, the most popular being plastic canvas, pony beads and Popsicle sticks. To make a plastic canvas cross, cut the canvas no more than three inches in height and three inches in width. Create a design on the cross by stitching yarn into the canvas. At the very top of the cross, stitch a loop into it as if you were going to hang it on the wall. This loop will make it easier to attach your cross to your key ring.

Pony Bead Cross Neclace

This pony bead cross necklace is a fun craft for smaller children. Cut a piece of string or yarn 15 inches long. Place both ends of the string together creating a loop. Tie a knot into the very bottom of the loop, this is so the beads formed like a cross will not fall off. String four beads over both sides of the string. Then pull the string apart so one piece is laying to the right and the other to the left. String three beads on each piece of string. Bring the two piece of string back together. Keeping the two pieces of string together, slip four more beads pushing them all the way down to the others. This will form a cross. Knot the top of the cross and tie around each child's neck.

Popsicle Stick Cross Magnet

Glue two Popsicle sicks together to form a cross. Decorate the Popsicle cross with paint, yarn, markers and beads. When the Popsicle sticks have dried, glue a magnet to the back of the cross. Place the cross magnet onto a fridge in your kitchen or magnetic board in your office to hold important papers. These magnet crosses can also be made using plastic canvas.

Matchstick Cross

This matchstick cross craft makes a decorative wall hanging for a Sunday school room, bedroom or family room. Cut a piece of poster board to the desired size of the cross you wish to hang on your wall. Glue a soda can tab to the back of the cross on the very top of the cross. The soda can tab will be used as a hanging hook. Burn all the matches before you use them in this project, extinguishing them immediately. This should be left for an adult to do. Glue the matchsticks to the cross. There's no right or wrong way as to how you lay them. Lay them straight, diagonally or jagged. Hang the dried and finished product on a wall to enjoy.
